On ypool when a share is found, the same share value will be paid for 80 blocks. After the share is found, if there are orphaned blocks, are the orphans subtracted from the 80 blocks or not? I.e. if in the next 80-1 blocks there are 3 orphans, will the miner be paid 77 times in the end, or still 80 times, the last block being 83-1 blocks.
After some counting it seems that if orphans happen during the 80, the share value are not paid. I think this is not fair. The miners, together with the pool, have already suffered by the orphan rate -- all miners have equal probablility to have their shares found in a orphaned block and lose the share. The miners shouldn't be taxed by the orphan rate a second time when their shares are already found in a successful block.
At the current high rate of orphan, this loss is not trivial.
